2025 Fantasy Outlook
The Wild have long-awaited the time that their first-round selection in 2022 would come over from the KHL, and Yurov is finally set to join the Wild for the 2025-26 season. The 21-year-old is coming off a down season, scoring 13 goals with 12 assists in 46 games with KHL Metallurg, but that's only a down season due to the high bar he set in 2023-24 -- 49 points on 21 goals and 28 assists in 62 games -- the most points scored by a KHL player under-21 in league history. Because there's a spot in the lineup and likely on the second power-play unit to be had for Yurov right away, a 30-40 point campaign isn't a crazy expectation to set, as long as he adjusts well to North America and stays healthy. Inks ELC
Yurov signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Wild, the team announced Friday.
ANALYSIS
The 24th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, Yurov has spent the last five seasons in the KHL, finishing with 13 goals and 12 assists in 46 regular-season games in 2024-25. His best output was two years ago, when he had 21 goals and 28 assists in 62 regular-season games, the most points by a player under 20 years old in KHL history. He figures to make an instant impact with the Wild's forward group in 2025-26.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Won't be rushed to NHL
General manager Bill Guerin said Thursday that the Wild won't "force feed" Yurov into the NHL early in the regular season if he isn't ready, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Yurov was selected by Minnesota with the 24th pick in the 2022 NHL Draft and is expected to have an opportunity to compete for a spot on the team's Opening Night roster for the 2025-26 campaign after being released from his KHL deal in April. Mats Zuccarello could miss time to begin the regular season for an undisclosed reason, which could increase Yurov's chances of making the roster, but the Wild seem to want to prioritize the 21-year-old's long-term development, as Guerin said Thursday that "this league is unforgiving."
