Drew O'Connor

Between Pittsburgh and Vancouver last season, O'Connor got into 84 games, but the extra action didn't help offset a drop in production. He finished with 25 points, 83 hits, 57 blocked shots and a minus-16 rating while seeing bottom-six minutes with both teams. O'Connor is a useful defensive forward, but his scoring contributions are likely to peak around the 30-point mark in a good year. He also won't see much in the way of power-play time while typically serving on the third line. The Canucks liked enough of what they saw from him to give him a two-year contract extension after acquiring him from the Penguins. O'Connor probably won't need to be drafted in most formats, but keep an eye on his usage early in the year, as he could be a streaming option if he gets a better assignment than expected.
