Fantilli gave the Blue Jackets valuable secondary scoring during his sophomore season, collecting 31 goals and 54 points over 82 games. He recovered from a sluggish start by generating 24 tallies and 15 assists in 44 outings to end the regular season. Fantilli got a boost when Sean Monahan was out with a wrist injury and made the most of his top-line promotion. However, Fantilli continued to rack up points after sliding back into a second-line role down the stretch. He also added 191 shots on goal and 113 hits. ANALYSIS
Fantilli was unable to score in the 2-1 loss to the Rangers on Saturday, but the 21-year-old is already back in the scoresheet, and he continues to enjoy an excellent start to the season. Fantilli, who showed promise with a 54-point season in 2024-25, is up to 13 points (six goals, seven helpers) across 19 games so far in 2025-26. He should continue to find lots of scoring chances as one of the main playmaking threats in the Blue Jackets' roster, as evidenced by his first-line role both at even strength and on the power play.

Fantilli had a strong rookie campaign with 12 goals and 27 points in 49 outings, but a leg injury prevented him from playing past Jan. 28. While it was a rough end to his campaign, it doesn't change the fact that the 19-year-old (20 on Oct. 12) has tremendous upside. Having already given Columbus a taste of what he can do, the rebuilding Blue Jackets will likely use him in a top-six capacity and on the first power-play unit. If that proves to be the case, then it wouldn't be surprising to see Fantilli jump to 50-60 points in his sophomore season, though of course there's some risk there given that his level of NHL experience is still relatively low.
