2025 Fantasy Outlook
Forsberg played in all 82 games for a second straight season last year but dropped from 94 points in 2023-24 to 76 in 2024-25. Nashville’s collective struggles offensively likely played a role, as well as Forsberg’s shooting percentage, dropping from a 12.8 career average to 11.0 percent. He also slipped from 347 shots on target to 281. Still, Forsberg surpassed the 30-goal mark and topped 75 points for the third time in the last four years while also racking up a career-high 151 hits. Forsberg’s availability hasn’t been a concern over the past two seasons, and if he can remain healthy once again this year, he could return to a point-per-game pace while racking up shots, hits and power-play points. Finds twine in win
Forsberg scored a goal, fired five shots on net, recorded two blockers and served two PIM in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Rangers.
ANALYSIS
Forsberg put the Preds on the board with an even-strength goal midway through the second period. His twine finder brought his season totals up to 16 goals, 28 points, 112 shots on net and 68 hits across 35 games. After struggling offensively in November, the 31-year-old winger has helped Nashville succeed in December with 11 points, 25 shots on net and eight hits in his last eight games. Fantasy managers who stuck with Forsberg through his lows this season are being rewarded plentifully, as he is back to playing at an elite level for a red-hot Nashville squad. While he likely won't set a new career high of 95 points or better this season, he still has plenty of time to reach the 70-point mark for the third consecutive year.

After being limited to 50 contests in 2022-23 due to injury, Forsberg participated in the full 82-game schedule last season while setting career highs in goals (48) and assists (46). It's the second time in three years that the 30-year-old has exceeded the 40-goal and 80-point milestones, and he's certainly capable of performing at that level again -- provided he can stay healthy. Before 2023-24, the Swedish forward hadn't reached the 70-game mark in a single season since 2016-17, so assuming he'll be available for the full campaign this year is risky. Pencil him in for 35-40 goals and 70-80 points under the assumption that he'll miss a chunk of the season, but take him ahead of other forwards in that range because he has the potential to meaningfully exceed that projection if he stays healthy.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Playing through injury?
Forsberg could be dealing with a lingering undisclosed injury, having missed three straight practices despite still playing, Alex Daugherty of the Tennessean reports Monday.
ANALYSIS
Forsberg is logging just 16:34 of ice time per game over his last three contests, well below his season average of 18:56. Despite the apparent injury, the winger continues to produce at a high level and is riding a five-game point streak, during which he has notched three goals, four assists and 23 shots. If Forsberg were to miss game time, it would likely mean a top-line promotion for Yakov Trenin.
