2025 Fantasy Outlook
Nazar split time between the AHL and the NHL in his rookie season, but in both places, his talent was on display. The 21-year-old posted 24 points in 21 AHL games and 26 points (12 goals, 14 assists) in 53 NHL games. He also was a major part of Team USA’s win at the 2025 IIHF World Championship with six goals and six assists in 10 games. Entering his second NHL season, the young center is shaping up to be a major part of the Blackhawks' future. Toward end of last season, he played a top-six role and was on the first power-play unit and the penalty kill, averaging 15:52 of ice time per game. His ice time will rise this year after sheltered usage as a rookie. He will likely see time in all situations again, making Nazar a prime breakout candidate. Read Past Outlooks

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Blackhawks fans have plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the future beyond just the likes of Connor Bedard and Artyom Levshunov. Their prospect pool is far deeper than that, and Nazar is a great example. Selected with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, the Detroit native scored 17 goals and 41 points in 41 contests with the University of Michigan as a sophomore last season. Afterward, he joined the Blackhawks for a three-game stint in which he provided one goal. Nazar isn't likely to become a star, but he does have top-six potential. It's worth keeping an eye on him during training camp, but even if he doesn't make the Blackhawks' initial roster, Nazar will probably be summoned at some point during the 2024-25 campaign.
