2025 Fantasy Outlook
Lyubushkin supplied 136 blocked shots and 84 hits across 80 appearances with Dallas during the 2024-25 regular season while chipping in one goal on 51 shots and 14 points. Lyubushkin spent most of the year alongside Thomas Harley but also logged minutes with Esa Lindell and Miro Heiskanen. The 31-year-old Lyubushkin can be a decent source of hits and blocks in a pinch, but he won't move the needle at all offensively for prospective fantasy managers. Read Past Outlooks

Lyubushkin had eight assists, 57 PIM, 168 blocked shots and 176 hits in 74 regular-season games between Anaheim and Toronto last season. As those numbers suggest, he's a physical defenseman who doesn't do much offensively. Dallas signed him to a three-year, $9.75 million contract over the summer and will likely use him almost exclusively on the third pairing. That should lead to him once again being a solid source of PIM, blocks and hits in 2024-25, and he'll likely be a positive in plus-minus as well given the Stars' strength.
