                2025 Fantasy Outlook

Bryson has established himself in the NHL as a role player who fits into the sixth or seventh slot on a team’s blue line. He served in that capacity for Buffalo in 2024-25, recording seven assists, 10 PIM, 20 shots, 15 hits and 51 blocks across 48 outings. The 27-year-old’s (28 on Nov. 18) position doesn’t figure to be any better this season, so it wouldn’t be surprising if he finishes below the 10-point mark for the fourth straight campaign. He is an okay source of blocks when he is in the lineup, so he might offer some value there in the deepest of fantasy leagues. Cleared but won't dress Tuesday
Bryson (concussion) will not be in the lineup versus Columbus on Tuesday but has been cleared for contact, per NHL.com.
				  ANALYSIS
Bryson will be given some extra time to recover thanks to the return of Michael Kesselring (lower body), who will be making his season debut. For his part, the 27-year-old Bryson will miss his fifth straight contest despite being cleared to play. Prior to getting hurt, the Ontario native managed just one point in five outings while dishing out a single hit. His lack of production or category coverage makes him a relative non-factor in fantasy contests.

				2023
Bryson is a depth defenseman that the Sabres can plug into the lineup when there's an injury or someone needs a game off, but the 26-year-old (27 on Nov. 18) isn't expected to get utilized beyond that. He recorded a goal, eight points, 40 blocked shots and 17 hits across 36 appearances with Buffalo in 2023-24 while averaging 14:41 of ice time. There's no guarantee that he'll feature in as many games in 2024-25, but if circumstances do push Buffalo to dress Bryson with regularity, then the blueliner will pick up a good number of blocks.
