In his first full campaign with the Flyers, Drysdale contributed seven goals, 20 points, 22 PIM, 63 shots on goal, 102 blocked shots and a minus-32 rating over 70 appearances. The smooth-skating 23-year-old has an opportunity to quarterback the No. 1 power-play unit in 2025-26 -- the Flyers ended last season with five forwards on the top combination, but it remains to be seen how new head coach Rick Tocchet will deploy his groups. If Drysdale can take over that aforementioned role, a career year could be in store, as the Ontario native has never had more than 32 points in a season, though injuries have been a major limiting factor in past years. Besides offense, Drysdale can offer decent utility with blocked shots (102 in 2024-25), but he has yet to provide meaningful value in the form of shots on goal, hits and PIM during his five-year career. There was no reason to suggest the Ducks were looking to move Drysdale, but once the Flyers made Cutter Gauthier available in trade in early January, the rearguard was shipped to Philly. Drysdale missed more than a month late in the year due to injury, ultimately finishing with two goals and five points in 24 games with his new club. He then underwent offseason sports hernia surgery but is expected to be fully recovered in time for training camp. Drysdale is still just 22 years of age and has plenty of long-term upside, but his immediate fantasy value will be tied to his ability to earn power-play time for the Flyers this coming season. With Cam York and Travis Sanheim around, there's no guarantee that will happen.
