2025 Fantasy Outlook
Daccord has taken over as the Kraken's primary goalie in the last couple of years, and a five year, $25 million contract extension signed last October cemented that status. He took a slight step backward in 2024-25, however, posting a 27-23-5 record with a 2.75 GAA and a .906 save percentage over a career-high 57 games. There may be a little motivation for Daccord, as he could push for an Olympic roster spot with Team USA, but his NHL outlook isn't all that cheery. The Kraken play hard but their lack of a true superstar anywhere on the roster leaves them prone to be overwhelmed by more talented teams. Daccord helps keep things close, and he's no worse than a No. 2 goalie in fantasy for 2025-26. Read Past Outlooks
Starting in Vancouver
Daccord will guard the road goal versus the Canucks on Friday, Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Daccord will start the second half of a back-to-back after Philipp Grubauer earned a 4-1 win over the Predators on Thursday. The two goalies have alternated starts lately, but that's because the Kraken are in the third of four consecutive back-to-back sets. Daccord had a poor December, going 3-4-1 with a 2.96 GAA and a .904 save percentage over eight contests, though he's won two of his last three outings.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Daccord struggled late in the season, but that didn't take any of the shine off a monster season for the long-time minor leaguer. Pressed into a heavy workload when Philipp Grubauer went down, Daccord responded with a 19-18-11 record, 2.46 GAA and .916 save percentage in 50 appearances (46 starts). He delivered Vezina-quality netminding between early December and early February. He's not that kind of goalie over a full season, but he will battle Philipp Grubauer for the starter's role in camp and perhaps push him into a 1A/1B platoon.
