2025 Fantasy Outlook
Huberdeau is haunted by his eight-year, $84 million contract and past success, but if you push those to the side, what you’re left with is a solid, but no longer elite, forward. His 28 goals and 62 points across 81 games represented his best offensive totals through three seasons with Calgary, but it's still a far cry from his 115-point showing with Florida in 2021-22. At this point, it’d be too optimistic to expect the 32-year-old to re-live his former glory. A campaign in the 50-60 point range is a perfectly reasonable outlook for him, and it wouldn’t be shocking if he managed to modestly exceed that offensive projection. Draft him accordingly -- don't overestimate him because of his former production or completely write him off out of disappointment over his drop off. Read Past Outlooks
Produces power-play goal
Huberdeau scored a power-play goal on two shots and added two PIM in Monday's 7-4 win over the Sabres.
ANALYSIS
Huberdeau is picking up the pace again with two goals and an assist over his last four contests. The winger is up to six goals, 15 points (five on the power play), 42 shots on net and 29 PIM over 26 outings. Huberdeau remains in a top-line role and on the first power-play unit, but he's struggled to find consistency on offense and may be better approached as a streaming option in fantasy.

Those expecting a bounce-back campaign from Huberdeau in 2023-24 were surely disappointed when his offense continued to slip. He had 12 goals and 52 points in 81 outings after a 55-point campaign the year before. Those two years combined don't equal his 115-point breakout season from 2021-22, which is looking more and more like the exception and not the rule to his performance. Huberdeau's 8.4 shooting percentage last year is his worst since 2013-14, so there's still some hope for a resurgence, but the Flames' teardown will leave less of an established supporting cast. The winger should still feature in a top-six role with plenty of power-play time, but it would be a surprise to see him put up more than 20 goals or 60 points.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Hoping to play during road trip
Huberdeau might be ready to return from an undisclosed injury during the team's upcoming two-game road trip, Ryan Pike of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports Monday.
ANALYSIS
Huberdeau has resumed skating but won't be ready in time to face the Golden Knights on Tuesday. The veteran winger will need to be activated off injured reserve prior to getting into the lineup, which could see Samuel Honzek dropped from the lineup or even relegated to the minors.
