2025 Fantasy Outlook
Parssinen found himself moving around a lot in 2024-25, first being dealt from Nashville to Colorado and later from the Avalanche to the Rangers. Along the way, he managed six goals, 16 points, 19 PIM, 30 shots and 86 hits across 48 regular-season outings. After all that bouncing around, he might have gained some stability by inking a two-year, $2.5 million extension with the Rangers in May. However, the 24-year-old is likely to serve in a bottom-six capacity, which would limit his offensive output. A 30-point campaign is about as much as you can hope for in 2025-26, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he fell short of that mark considering Parssinen's career high in points is the 25 he had as a rookie in 2022-23 with Nashville. Notches helper in big win
Parssinen posted an assist, two hits and two PIM in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Penguins.
ANALYSIS
Parssinen was a healthy scratch for the first two games of the season, but he entered the lineup Saturday for Vincent Trocheck (upper body), who is week-to-week. The 24-year-old Parssinen will likely be limited to a bottom-six role while he's in the lineup. He had 16 points over 48 contests between the Rangers, Avalanche and Predators last year. With little chance of top-six usage or power-play time, fantasy managers can find more productive forwards than Parssinen on the waiver wire.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Parssinen split the 2023-24 regular season between the Predators and AHL Milwaukee, providing 12 points (eight goals) in 44 contests with Nashville as well as 25 points (seven goals) across 36 outings with the Admirals. At the age of 23, the Finnish forward will enter training camp with an eye toward securing a middle-six spot with Nashville. He should be given a long look, but after the Predators signed Jonathan Marchessault and Steven Stamkos over the summer, Parssinen might not be able to get more than a fourth-line role, and he might even end up starting the campaign in the minors. He does have some offensive abilities, so it's worth keeping an eye on his situation, but Parssinen is too high-risk to recommend drafting in anything but the deepest of fantasy leagues.

Nearing contract extension
Parssinen is slated to sign a two-year, $1.25 million contract extension with the Rangers on Friday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Parssinen spent time with the Predators, Avalanche and Rangers this year, logging six goals, 10 assists, 86 hits, 29 blocked shots and 19 PIM while averaging 10:32 of ice time. He showed enough promise over 11 appearances with the Rangers to warrant a contract extension, so he'll remain under contract with the Blueshirts through the 2026-27 season.
