2025 Fantasy Outlook
Rossi progressed in his sophomore season, improving from 21 goals to 24 and jumping from 40 points to 60 while appearing in all 82 regular-season games in both campaigns. Rossi was productive as a top-six forward during the regular season while clicking offensively with Matt Boldy and Mats Zuccarello. Rossi went through some ups and downs, including a drop to the fourth line during the playoffs, but he still has plenty of upside if he returns to the top six for the beginning of the 2025-26 campaign. He could return to the 60-point plateau, with the potential for more if he maintains a spot alongside a healthy Kirill Kaprizov. Read Past Outlooks
First point with new team
Rossi logged an assist and three blocked shots in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over the Bruins.
ANALYSIS
The helper was Rossi's first point in four outings with the Canucks since he was swapped from Minnesota in the Quinn Hughes deal. The 24-year-old Rossi has added nine blocked shots, three shots on net and a minus-1 rating. He's likely a bit miscast in a first-line role, but that's where Vancouver needs him while Elias Pettersson (upper body), Filip Chytil (upper body) and Teddy Blueger (lower body) are all out. Rossi has 14 points, 30 shots on net, 17 blocked shots, 14 hits and a minus-7 rating over 21 appearances this season. He'll likely remain in the top six even when the Canucks are healthier.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2022
2021
Taken by the Wild with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, Rossi spent a couple of seasons dominating the AHL before establishing himself as a full-time player at the top level. He did well in his first full NHL campaign, recording 21 goals, 40 points and 47 PIM across 82 contests while averaging a respectable 16:44 of ice time. The soon-to-be 23-year-old spent some of the past season on a line with Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello and will likely log an even greater portion of the 2024-25 campaign in that role. Rossi has significant untapped upside, so when you consider his potential and the opportunities he's likely to get, there's plenty to like here. It'd be a gamble to pencil him in for 60 points this season, but it's also not unreasonable to hope for that kind of jump in production.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Set to be traded
Rossi is expected to headline the return to the Canucks in the pending Quinn Hughes trade, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports Friday.
ANALYSIS
Rossi will give the Canucks the center they've been coveting for nearly a year since they traded J.T. Miller away. Rossi is just one piece of the return, but he should slot into a second-line role once Elias Pettersson recovers from an upper-body injury.
