2023 Fantasy Outlook
Pederson has spent parts of three seasons in the NHL, playing with four different organizations during that span. He will be joining his fifth team this fall after signing a two-year, $1.55 million contract with the Oilers in free agency. The 27-year-old forward has played for four different NHL clubs, but he hasn't appeared in more than 29 contests in a season. Pederson played for Edmonton's AHL club, the Bakersfield Condors in 2023-24, registering 52 points and a plus-8 rating in 66 outings. The Saskatoon native might have been a recall candidate this past season, but getting injured early in the year likely hindered his chances. Pederson will attempt to make the big club in 2024-25 at the expense of veteran fourth-line center Derek Ryan.
