Blumel appeared in seven games with Dallas during the 2024-25 regular season and scored one goal. However, the 25-year-old forward was an offensive force in the minors for AHL Texas, notching a league-high 39 goals and tying for second overall with 72 points across 67 regular-season outings. He signed with Boston in the summer, but it will be an uphill climb for him to see playing time at the NHL level. He is no longer waiver-exempt, which could help him stay with the big club out of training camp, and he could have some fantasy upside if given the chance.
