A gritty forward in service of Gritty, Deslauriers is gearing up for his third campaign in Philadelphia and 12th NHL season overall. He recorded a goal, four points, 89 PIM and 188 hits in 60 appearances with the Flyers in 2023-24 while serving primarily in a fourth-line capacity. Although he can be a great source of PIM and hits, the 33-year-old forward isn't guaranteed to make regular appearances with the Flyers this campaign. The real possibility of him spending significant stretches as a healthy scratch makes it hard to recommend Deslauriers to even those fantasy managers in search of PIM and hits, though, at the very least, it's a situation worth monitoring because he would have considerable value to those fantasy managers if circumstances allow him to play regularly.

Market heating up
The free-agent market for Deslauriers is "hot," Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet report
ANALYSIS
The Wild acquired Deslauriers from the Ducks last season; he finished the year with 13 points and 263 hits over 81 total games. Minnesota is working with limited cap space over the next few years, so if a bidding war opens up for the 31-year-old, he could be finding a new team this offseason. Deslauriers should be a quality, affordable option for any team's bottom six, hence the increasing interest.
