2025 Fantasy Outlook
In his first full season, Evans produced five goals, 25 points, 123 hits, 106 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating. He had just 59 shots on net over 73 games, but Evans steadily gained more trust as the year went on. With Jamie Oleksiak entering his walk year and Evans looking capable of a top-four role, the blue line looks to be pivoting a little younger in Seattle. There's still not much to like about Evans' power-play situation, as he receives minimal time with the man advantage behind Vince Dunn and Brandon Montour. Entering 2025-26, Evans is poised to make some improvements in his own zone while pushing for the 30-point mark, and he should be a steady source of physical play even when he's in a scoring slump. 2024 Fantasy Outlook
It's not quite "put up or shut up" time for Evans, considering he is just 22 years old, but a strong showing during the preseason would likely force the Kraken to keep him on the roster for Opening Night. In his rookie campaign last year, the Calgary native notched one goal and eight assists in 36 contests while averaging 19:11 of ice time. Evans has put his offensive upside on display in the minutes, with 15 points in 25 regular-season clashes with AHL Coachella Valley, a skill he will be looking to translate to the next level. While Evans may not be worth taking in redraft formats, he should definitely be on your roster in dynasty formats and could be a midseason waiver pickup.
