2025 Fantasy Outlook
Colangelo earned his place in the NHL late in 2024-25, racking up 12 points in 32 games, with 11 coming after the start of March. However, the Ducks hope to exit the rebuilding phase in the 2025-26 campaign, and it's unclear if Colangelo will be along for the ride or if he'll serve as organizational depth at AHL San Diego. The 23-year-old winger brings a physical edge, and he's likely to peak as a third-line option. Colangelo could still find more offensive production if he gets consistent playing time, but the risk of him missing the roster altogether makes him a wait-and-see option in fantasy. Not signed yet
Contrary to an earlier report, Colangelo hasn't signed with Anaheim yet, but it's still possible that he will, given his status as a restricted free agent, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports Friday.
ANALYSIS
Colangelo had 12 points in 32 appearances with the Ducks as well as 40 points in 40 outings with AHL San Diego in the 2024-25 regular season. Provided the 23-year-old still re-signs with Anaheim, he should be a major contender for a bottom-six spot on the Opening Night roster.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
After making his NHL debut last year, Colangelo will be looking to play in a few more contests this time around. In his three appearances during the 2023-24 campaign, the Massachusetts-born winger notched his first career NHL goal to go with seven shots, three hits and two PIM while averaging 12:33 of ice time. In order to make the Opening Night roster, Colangelo will have to impress during training camp and outperform Jansen Harkins and Pavol Regenda. Even if Colangelo does make the team to start the year, he almost certainly will have to spend some time in the minors as well, making him a relatively risky fantasy option.
