2025 Fantasy Outlook
A second-round selection by the Los Angeles in 2021, Helenius collected four goals, seven points, 150 hits and a plus-1 rating across 50 regular-season outings in 2024-25. The 22-year-old also appeared in 20 games with AHL Ontario, as he has yet to establish himself as a fixture in the NHL. A similar path could be in store for the left-shot center in 2025-26, as the Kings brought in a few established veteran forwards via free agency, so Helenius will have to earn his ice time. He’ll provide physicality whenever he’s in the lineup, though, considering he averaged three hits per game last year. Read Past Outlooks
Pots goal in win
Helenius scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Red Wings.
ANALYSIS
Helenius has a goal and two assists over his last three games. The 23-year-old forward opened the scoring Tuesday exactly halfway through the contest. Helenius is up to two goals, four points, 13 shots on net, 55 hits and 17 PIM over 24 outings. He may be at risk of losing playing time to Kenny Connors, who is expected to debut at some point during the Kings' road trip.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
AHL debut awaits this season
Helenius is expected to join AHL Ontario after his season in Finland's Liiga ends, John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
Helenius hasn't shown much with JYP this year, logging nine points, 76 PIM and a minus-7 rating through 48 appearances. Despite the lackluster scoring numbers, the 2021 second-round pick is expected to get his first taste of North American hockey this spring. He'll need to get acclimated to the AHL, so the 19-year-old is unlikely to get into the NHL next year unless he has a hot start.
