2025 Fantasy Outlook
Since being drafted 21st overall by the Penguins in 2019, Poulin has long been touted as one of the few prospects in Pittsburgh's system. That has changed dramatically thanks to general manager Kyle Dubas. As such, the 24-year-old Poulin is probably in a prove-it year with the organization, having managed just 13 NHL games so far in his career. Still, the Pens are expected to go young this upcoming season, and Poulin is coming off a solid 2024-25 campaign in which he racked up 19 goals and 24 helpers in 57 regular-season outings with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. If he can show some of that offensive upside in training camp, Poulin should be in the mix for a spot on the big club's Opening Night roster. Read Past Outlooks

Goal, assist for Baby Pens
Poulin scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's 6-3 win over Bridgeport on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Poulin is off to a hot start with the minor-league team, earning a goal and five points over four games. He put up 43 points in 57 regular-season AHL outings last year, as well as one assist in seven NHL games. At 24 years old, he's not the youngest of prospects anymore, but he could still be part of Pittsburgh's NHL-level youth movement if he continues to play well in the AHL.

2019 Fantasy Outlook
Poulin's selection by Pittsburgh with the 21st overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft was a surprise to many, as the youngster isn't considered close to NHL ready, and the Penguins will remain in win-now mode as long as Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin are still in the fold. Still, the 18-year-old winger is a solid two-way player with a high hockey IQ that should earn him a spot on the 23-man roster sooner rather than later. If he puts together another impressive season in the QMJHL this year, he'll likely turn pro and join AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for the 2020-21 campaign.
