Tim Berni

Berni joined the Columbus lineup in early December and was a regular for the club the rest of the way. It did not lead to any positive production from a statistical standpoint. In 59 games, Berni managed just a goal and three points while finishing with an ugly minus-26 rating. Although still just 23 years of age, Berni has never been much of a point producer, even going back to his days in Switzerland. He appears to be no better than No. 7 or 8 on the defensive depth chart for the Blue Jackets heading into the 2023-24 campaign and there's a real chance Berni will begin the upcoming season in the AHL.
