2025 Fantasy Outlook
Back with the Panthers on another one-year contract, Nosek will continue to fill a fourth-line role in 2025-26. The 6-foot-3 forward accounted for one goal, nine points, 83 hits and a plus-4 rating across 59 regular-season outings in 2024-25. Nosek’s average of 9:49 of ice time per game last year was a career low, and his role as a depth forward simply doesn’t benefit fantasy managers. The 33-year-old has never topped 18 points or reached the century mark in hits and blocked shots in his 10-year career, so there are better options to round out your roster. Read Past Outlooks

Shifts to non-roster injured list
Nosek (knee) was moved to non-roster, injured reserve Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Nosek is not expected back in the lineup until mid-December, so his designation for non-roster, injured reserve shouldn't come as a surprise. With the depth forward on the shelf, the Cats signed Noah Gregor to a one-year, two-way deal to bolster the lineup. Once cleared to play, Nosek should be capable of claiming a bottom-six spot in the Panthers' lineup.

Nosek was limited to 36 contests last season due to a foot injury, recording two goals, six points, six PIM, 20 blocks and 33 hits with New Jersey when healthy. He signed a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Panthers over the summer and is projected to center their fourth line. Provided he can stay healthy, Nosek is likely to contribute 15-20 points while also accumulating over 60 hits. Although he didn't spend much time in the sin bin last season, he did register over 30 PIM in each of the previous two campaigns, so he might end up being a factor in that category as well.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Plans to play in World Championship
Nosek will play for Czechia in the IIHF World Championship in May, according to Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site.
ANALYSIS
Nosek had two goals, six points, 33 hits and 20 blocks in 36 games with New Jersey this season. The 31-year-old will be appearing in the World Championship for the first time. He's set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, so perhaps a good showing in the tournament will help market him to teams, especially after being limited during 2023-24 due to injury issues.
