2025 Fantasy Outlook
Miner has spent the last couple of years as the Avalanche's No. 3 netminder, and he got a chance to make his NHL debut in 2024-25. He allowed four goals on 33 shots over two appearances (one start), but he was quite steady in the AHL with a 22-10-6 record, a 2.12 GAA and a .918 save percentage over 38 regular-season games. Miner will need to continue to play well, as Ilya Nabokov is expected to come to North America once his season with the KHL's Metallurg Magnitogorsk is over. However, Miner is blocked from an NHL role by Mackenzie Blackwood and Scott Wedgewood. Read Past Outlooks
Logs shutout in AHL play
Miner notched a 35-save shutout in AHL Colorado's 3-0 win over Henderson on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
This was Miner's first shutout in 12 appearances at the AHL level this season. Due to various injuries to the Avalanche's goalies, he's spent a lot of time in the backup role in the NHL. He's 8-2-1 with a 2.22 GAA and a .919 save percentage in the AHL, so he's more than capable of handling the responsibility of being Colorado's organizational No. 3 goalie.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Headed down to minors?
Miner left Monday's practice early, leaving Scott Wedgewood and Mackenzie Blackwood, who is recovering from a lower-body injury, as the two goalies on the ice, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports.
ANALYSIS
Miner's exit could be an indication that the team is preparing to send him down to the minors now that Blackwood is back from his conditioning stint with AHL Colorado. Once Miner is sent down, he figures to spend the bulk of the year playing with the Eagles, making him a relative non-factor in fantasy.
