2024 Fantasy Outlook
Fix-Wolansky plays incredibly in the minors, but he's struggled to have an impact at the NHL level. The 2023-24 campaign was the latest example of that -- he had 26 goals and 60 points in 58 regular-season contests with AHL Cleveland but was limited to two goals and three points across 11 games with Columbus. At 5-foot-7, Fix-Wolansky doesn't have size at his advantage, nor does he play a particularly physical game, so while it's not impossible for him to succeed in a bottom-six role, it'd be an uphill battle, and the Alberta native hasn't proven yet that he can translate his skill to the NHL at a level worthy of a top-six spot. He's 25 too, so this will be an important season to prove he can be more than an AHL star before he moves past the point of being seen as someone with upside.

Headed for Big Apple?
Fix-Wolansky is expected to sign with the Rangers, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Fix-Wolansky couldn't break into the Blue Jackets' lineup last season, playing the entire campaign in the minors with AHL Cleveland. With the Monsters, the 26-year-old right winger put up fantastic numbers, tallying 26 goals and 34 assists in 65 regular-season tilts. If the Edmonton native can even show a glimpse of that offensive upside with the Rangers during training camp, he should be in the mix for an Opening Night roster spot.
