The Penguins dealt the 24-year-old blueliner to Dallas in the offseason. Kolyachonok might have been traded by the Penguins to the Stars on Thursday in a deal involving Matt Dumba, according to Sean Shapiro of DLLS Sports.

Although no trade has been announced, Shapiro noted that Kolyachonok is now listed on Dallas' roster, per the NHL media site, while Dumba is showing up on the Penguins' roster. The 24-year-old Kolyachonok has one season remaining on his two-year, $1.55 million contract. He had two goals and seven points across 35 regular-season outings with Utah and Pittsburgh in 2024-25.
