2025 Fantasy Outlook
Being a versatile middle-six center is often a role that goes without glory, but Namestnikov's contributions to the Jets' Presidents' Trophy-winning season were noticeable. The 32-year-old produced 38 points and a plus-20 rating over 78 games in 2024-25, often playing on the second line and fitting in seamlessly whenever he was moved around the lineup. He added 84 hits, 38 PIM, 94 shots on net and 49 blocked shots, which isn't elite in any given category but makes for solid production overall. Namestnikov's strong play earned him a two-year extension in February, and he'll be leaned on even more with the Jets missing Adam Lowry (hip) early in 2025-26. Center is a deep position, so Namestnikov won't be a fit for all fantasy managers, but he should offer a stable floor in deep formats. Read Past Outlooks
Garners two assists Saturday
Namestnikov notched two assists and two shots on goal in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs.
ANALYSIS
Namestnikov has a goal and three helpers over five games since he was a healthy scratch Jan. 8 versus the Oilers. The 33-year-old's renewed success on offense has helped the Jets win four of those five games, picking up a total of nine standings point in that span. For the season, Namestnikov has 12 points, 57 shots on net, 60 hits, 27 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a minus-7 rating over 46 outings. He will continue to occupy a middle-six role.

Namestnikov scored 11 goals and matched his previous best of 26 assists in 78 games last season. He accounted for the second-highest offensive output of his career behind his 48-point showing between the Lightning and Rangers in 2017-18. Namestnikov also chipped in 95 shots on net and 92 hits last campaign. The versatile forward played in all situations for the Jets. He suffered a fractured cheekbone during the playoffs but should be ready for the beginning of training camp. Namestnikov had some chemistry with Nikolaj Ehlers and Cole Perfetti, which could form the team's second line in 2024-25. The 31-year-old Namestnikov could reach the 40-point plateau for the second time in his NHL career, but his fantasy value remains limited going into the year.

Could drop down depth chart?
Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun believes Namestnikov could end up on the fourth line after Gabriel Vilardi is cleared to return from a knee injury.
ANALYSIS
Billeck thinks that Cole Perfetti or Vilardi could center the second line. Namestnikov could drop to the fourth line because Billeck can't envision any changes occurring to the first or third combinations. Namestnikov has two goals and nine points in 17 games this season.
