2025 Fantasy Outlook
Nylander had a career-high 45 goals in 82 regular-season games last campaign. He has reached the 40-goal plateau in three straight seasons while hitting the 80-point mark in four consecutive campaigns. The 29-year-old winger collected 84 points and 253 shots in 2024-25. He ranked second on the Maple Leafs with 30 power-play points. Nylander has double-digit power-play goals in three of the last four seasons. He will remain a focal point of the offense in 2025-26, whether he moves up to the top line or remains in a second-line role, and he could reach 90 points for the second time in his NHL career. Won't play Wednesday
Nylander (lower body) will miss Wednesday's game against Columbus, per David Alter of The Hockey News.
ANALYSIS
Nylander missed Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over Buffalo due to a lower-body injury before returning for Toronto's 4-3 win over Calgary on Tuesday. He supplied an assist in 18:49 of ice time versus the Flames, but won't play in the second half of the back-to-back in an attempt to manage the same issue. Sammy Blais will draw into the lineup against the Blue Jackets because of Nylander's absence.

Nylander was limited to four assists across his final 11 regular-season contests in 2023-24, which prevented him from reaching the 100-point milestone for the first time in his career. He still finished the campaign with a new personal best in assists (58) while reaching the 40-goal mark for the second straight year. Although the 28-year-old isn't at quite at the level where you would expect him to compete for any prestigious trophy, his relatively good health -- Nylander has missed just one regular-season game over the last three years and has exceeded 80 appearances in five of his past eight campaigns -- and fairly consistent play make it reasonable to expect him to both exceed the 30-goal mark and record at least 80 points for the fourth straight season.

Practicing with team
Nylander, who is dealing with a lower-body injury, was on the ice for Monday's practice session, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
ANALYSIS
Nylander's lower-body issue kept him out of Saturday's game against the Sabres, but it looks like he may not miss any additional time. While the center has scored just three goals in eight contests to start the year, he has racked up 11 helpers. If the 29-year-old can maintain this level, he could reach the 100-point threshold for the first time in his career.
