Yaniv Perets

2025 Fantasy Outlook
Perets saw time at all three levels of North American pro hockey last season, but he spent the bulk of his time with ECHL Bloomington, where he went 12-12-1 with a 2.59 GAA and a .921 save percentage. He saw a total of five games between the AHL and NHL levels and didn't impress in those games. The Hurricanes' organizational goaltending depth may face significant turnover for 2025-26, but Perets is unlikely to ascend any further than No. 3 on the depth chart. Most fantasy managers do not need to consider him. Read Past Outlooks

Perets was not qualified by the Hurricanes on Monday and will become an unrestricted free agent.
ANALYSIS
Perets has logged just two NHL games in his career, including last season against the Panthers on Nov. 30. In that outing, the 25-year-old netminder stopped six of seven shots for a .857 save percentage. Without Perets back in the system, the Canes could decide to re-sign Dustin Tokarski or Spencer Martin.

GCarolina Hurricanes  Free Agent
November 15, 2024
Perets could be called up ahead of Saturday's matchup with Ottawa due to Pyotr Kochetkov's undisclosed injury, Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
The team didn't seem overly concerned about Kochetkov's long-term availability, but if he can't go, the Canes will need Peret to serve as the No. 2 option behind Spencer Martin. With a back-to-back on the schedule, it's possible Perets is pressed into service versus the Blues on Sunday if Kochetkov isn't ready to play -- though the club could use Martin on both ends.
