2025 Fantasy Outlook
In terms of offensive abilities, Parekh has the potential to be an elite blueliner. He had 33 goals, 107 points and 96 PIM in 61 regular-season appearances with OHL Saginaw in 2024-25. He also made his NHL debut with Calgary on April 17, logging 20:31 of ice time while recording a goal, a plus-3 rating, two PIM, two shots, one hit and one blocked shot. While that's a nice start, his short-term offensive upside is limited by the presence of defensemen MacKenzie Weegar and Rasmus Andersson, who might prevent Parekh from getting much power-play ice time even if he does make Calgary's Opening Night roster. Still, he's worth keeping a close eye on because if he does find a way to earn a regular spot with the Flames that includes a power-play role, then he could provide 30-40 points this campaign. Healthy scratch Saturday
Parekh will be a healthy scratch against Nashville on Saturday after recovering from an undisclosed ailment, Eric Francis of Sportsnet reports.
ANALYSIS
Parekh has one assist, 11 shots on goal, four blocked shots and four hits in nine appearances this campaign. If he plays in one more NHL game, it will burn the first season of his entry-level deal. As a result, the Flames may decide to assign him to OHL Saginaw.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Set for NHL debut
Parekh will make his NHL debut against the Kings on Thursday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
ANALYSIS
Parekh will actually be making his professional hockey debut, having joined the Flames straight out of the OHL. With the Saginaw Spirit, the 2024 ninth-overall pick tallied 33 goals and 74 helpers in 61 regular-season games this year before adding another nine points in five postseason contests. Looking ahead to 2025-26, Parekh should have a shot at earning a spot on the Opening Night roster, but he is far from a lock and could spend some time in the minors next year.
