Added to UFC 277 card
May 13, 2022
Tafa will square off against Don'Tale Mayes at UFC 277 on July 30, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
Tafa collected his second career UFC win in December when he earned a first-round TKO (head kick) of Harry Hunsucker. He was dealt a six-month medical suspension following the bout due to finger injuries and hasn't returned to the Octagon since, but that drought will come to an end in late July. Tafa gives up considerable size to Mayes, who stands six inches taller and sports a reach seven inches longer.

Huge KO win after missing weight
December 18, 2021
Tafa defeated Harry Hunsucker via TKO (head kick) at 1:53 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Tafa made history on Friday morning when he became the first heavyweight in UFC history to miss the 266-pound weight limit. Tafa checked in at 267 pounds, but Hunsucker still accepted the bout, for a fee. Tafa rewarded Hunsucker's generosity with a head kick that turned the American's lights out and quite possibly may end his time with the company. Tafa would be a lock for a post-fight bonus for his efforts, but he's ineligible because he missed weight. The win snaps a brief two-fight losing streak for the big Aussie.
