Won't be fighting vs. Stoltzfus
MiddleweightUFC
March 24, 2025
Contrary to a previous report, Alhassan won't face Dustin Stoltzfus in a proposed middleweight matchup at UFC Vegas 106 on May 17, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
According to Dorff, despite being told that Stoltzfus was fighting Alhassan, that won't be the case. The most likely scenario is that Stoltzfus will play someone else on the same date, whereas Alhassan will continue to look for an opponent. Alhassan is winless in his last three trips to the Octagon, with two losses and an NC.

Booked against Stoltzfus
MiddleweightUFC
March 23, 2025
Alhassan will take on Dustin Stoltzfus in a middleweight matchup at UFC Vegas 106 on May 17, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Alhassan is winless in his last three trips to the Octagon, with two losses and a fortunate no-contest on the ledger. He'll look to bounce back against Stoltzfus, who has won two of three, mostly recently defeating Marc-Andre Barriault in bonus-winning fashion. Alhassan might have a power advantage, but he gets hit more than he lands on average, and his 51 percent takedown defense will be put to the test here against a fighter in Stoltzfus who completes 2.31 takedowns per 15 minutes of fight time.
Struggles continue in Vegas
MiddleweightUFC
January 11, 2025
Alhassan lost to Cesar Almeida via KO (punch) at 4:16 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Perhaps it wouldn't have mattered, but it sure would have been nice to see Alhassan display a bit better fight IQ in a bout in a bout in which he had an obvious path to victory. Alhassan scored a knockdown of Almeida and had him in all sorts of trouble, but the latter worked his way back to his feet, and Alhassan then completely disregarded his defense. That allowed Almeida to land a counter left hand which knocked him out cold before he reached the mat. Alhassan has massive power, but he'll be 40 years of age in August, and as we saw here, his decision making isn't the best. He's now 1-3 (1NC) in his past five fights.

October 25, 2024
Alhassan is set to face off against Cesar Almeida at UFC Vegas 101 on Jan. 11, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Alhassan, who most recently faced off against Cody Brundage in a fight that ended in a no contest, will look to pick up a much-needed win over Cesar Almeida. The 39-year-old fighter is 6-6-1 during his time within the UFC and 1-2-1 in his last four contests.
Vegas 98 fight canceled
MiddleweightUFC
October 11, 2024
Alhassan will not fight Josh Fremd at UFC Vegas 98 on Oct. 12, Aaron Bronsteter of Sportsnet reports.
ANALYSIS
This is not a problem on Alhassan's part. Fremd weighed in at 189 pounds, and the UFC opted to scrap his fight with Alhassan entirely. This has been a rough 2024 for him, as he may finish this year without a clear result.
Set for October
MiddleweightUFC
July 31, 2024
Alhassan will fight Josh Fremd at a UFC event on Oct. 12, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The Ghanan middleweight will get the chance for his first win of the year after fighting to a no contest against Cody Brundage earlier in July. Alhassan will take on Fremd who is on a two-match losing streak, but both fighters have shown inconsistent play in the octagon in their recent fights.
