Nascimento will not compete against Asu Almabayev at UFC Vegas 103 on March 1, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.

Initially, UFC Vegas 103 included a Nascimento-Almabayev fight and Manel Kape against Brandon Royval. Unfortunately for Nascimento, Royval (undisclosed) is out for UFC Vegas 103. Instead of the unranked Nascimento, the UFC's No. 8 flyweight contender Almabayev was elected to replace Royval against Kape. The decision means Nascimento has no opponent for UFC Vegas 103, an event he may be scrapped from competing in altogether.
