Falls short against up-and-comer
Hill lost to Iasmin Lucindo via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at UFC Vegas 109 on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Hill fought as well as she could against an opponent 17 years younger and entering as a (+150) underdog, but it ultimately wasn't enough. Hill, who has never been knocked out, showcased an excellent chin again here, taking countless powerful hooks from Lucindo. She even landed a big spinning elbow in Round 1 and out-landed Lucindo in Round 2, but the bigger shots were coming from Lucindo, who also was credited with a takedown in each of the three rounds. Hill has been largely effective of late despite her advanced age, and she may even keep her spot in the strawweight rankings despite the defeat, but her days of title-implicating fights have understandably passed.

Taking on Lucindo in August
Hill will face Iasmin Lucindo at a UFC event in Las Vegas on August 9, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Hill will head into the bout looking to build off her recent victory over Ketlen Souza in February. The 5-foot-3 American will look to use her experience to overcome a reach advantage against the younger Lucindo. Hill will likely be looking to end this one early as 12 of her 14 professional losses have come via decision. With a combined 13-0 record in KO/TKO finishes, these two fighters will both likely be looking to use their stopping power to take out their opponent in this one.

Gets right back in win column
Hill defeated Ketlen Souza via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
In each of Hill's first four split decisions with the UFC she came up short. Here, she finally got her hand raised. Now 40 years of age, Angie started quickly before letting Souza back into the fight. The more notable blows over the course of the final 10 minutes definitely came from the Brazilian, but Hill was able to pick up a huge takedown in Round 3 in what was a razor-close fight. It could have legitimately gone either way. Angie keeps herself in great shape despite her advanced age, and she appears to have plenty of gas left in the tank if the company is careful regarding the level of opponent it matches her up against moving forward.

Booked against Ketlen Souza
Hill will take on Ketlen Souza in a strawweight matchup at UFC Vegas 102 on February 15, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill snapped a two-fight winning streak last August with a loss to Tabatha Ricci and will now have to bounce back against a fighter in Souza who is currently riding a two-fight winning streak. Look for a standup affair here, as neither fighter has utilized much wrestling in their respective UFC runs. If that's indeed the case, Hill has the slight advantage in volume striking, while Souza sports superior defensive marks.

Brief winning streak snapped
Hill lost to Tabatha Ricci via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Facing an opponent a decade her junior, Hill hung tough in what was a high-paced fight throughout. From a striking standpoint, Angie matched Ricci blow-for-blow. Literally. Both women landed 140 total strikes. The downfall was Hill was the fact she allowed three takedowns to Ricci, good for 5:04 worth of control time. Angie gained some momentum down the stretch, but Tabatha did enough good work over the course of the first 10 minutes to earn the decision. Set to turn 40 years of age next January, Hill continues to be competitive, going 4-2 in her last half-dozen bouts dating back to August 2022.

ANALYSIS
Hill is 4-1 across her last five fights, with a decision loss to Mackenzie Dern in between. Hill is looking for her first three-fight win streak since before the COVID-19 pandemic by defeating Ricci, who is 5-1 across her last six fights.
