Handles late-notice opponent
Oki defeated Michael Aswell via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Originally scheduled to fight Marquel Mederos here, Oki agreed to the opponent change earlier in the week. He entered a -600 favorite, largest on the entire card, and struggled for a round-plus before finding his range. At 5-foot-10, Oki is a big lightweight. He hits hard and is a fluid striker, although his stand-up defense leaves much to be desired. He has just a dozen pro fights under his belt, including three in the UFC (2-1), at age 29. Far from a finished product, some bumps in the road are almost certainly forthcoming for Oki.

UFC debutant scheduled
Oki is scheduled to compete against Michael Aswell at UFC Vegas 107 on Saturday, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Initially, Oki was scheduled to compete against Marquel Mederos in a lightweight fight at UFC Vegas 107. The latter recently withdrew from said event. So instead, the UFC has signed Aswell to fight Oki. Aswell most recently fought at featherweight, and it is unclear what weight class he and Oki will compete in, though it should be clarified relatively soon.

Next bout scheduled
Oki will take on Marquel Mederos in a lightweight bout at UFC Vegas 107 on May 31, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Oki, who sits at 1-1 in the UFC, will look to bounce back after falling to Chris Duncan back in September his last time in the octagon. His opponent, meanwhile, is off to a perfect start at 2-0. This should be an entertaining bout between two promising fighters who are newer to the promotion.

No longer facing Al-Selwady
Oki will no longer take on Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady in a lightweight bout at UFC Saudi Arabia on Feb. 1, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
According to an instagram post from Al-Selwady, Oki was the one who pulled out of the fight. He originally stepped in to face Jordan Leavitt, but now the bout has been cancelled and it doesn't appear that Al-Selwady will get a new opponent.

ANALYSIS
With Jordan Leavitt withdrawing from the event due to an undisclosed issue, Oki will step in to fight Al-Selwady on short notice. Oki's loss to Chris Duncan in September snapped a nine-fight win streak as a professional fighter, but he'll have a four-inch reach advantage over his next opponent, who is also coming off a loss.
