Taking on Gastelum
Stoltzfus will face Kelvin Gastelum in a welterweight bout at Noche UFC on September 13 in San Antonio, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Stoltzfus is in desperate need of a win. He dropped his last bout at the hands of Nursulton Ruziboev via unanimous decision, and that dropped his UFC record to a dismal 3-6. He's alternated wins and losses in his last seven fights, so if history repeats itself, he's due for a win. Stoltzfus will be fighting with his back against the wall and has three inches of both height and reach on Gastelum.

Toughness on display in defeat
Stoltzfus lost to Nursulton Ruziboev via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Stoltzfus is ridiculously tough and has proven time and time again he's willing to stand in there and mix it up against anyone, even a stone-cold killer like Ruziboev. Dustin absorbed far too many big blows on the feet and was consistently outmuscled at the point of attack, but that didn't stop him from landing a pair of takedowns and threatening with a couple deep submission attempts. Neither ended up materializing, but this was a closer and more competitive fight than the scorecards would lead you to believe. Stoltzfus is a valued member of the UFC roster, but at age 33 and having alternated wins and losses in his past seven fights, he isn't any sort of contender.

Set to face Ruziboev
Stoltzfus will take on Nursulton Ruziboev in a middleweight bout at UFC Vegas 106 on May 17, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports
ANALYSIS
Stoltzfus won his last bout, taking care of Marc-Andre Barriault via strikes in the first round of a fight back in November. Still, that pushed his UFC record to 3-5 -- he needs to keep stacking wins within the promotion. He'll get a chance against Ruziboev, who is off to a better start to his UFC career at 3-1.

Won't face Alhassan
Contrary to a previous report, Stoltzfus won't face Abdul Razak Alhassan in a proposed middleweight matchup at UFC Vegas 106 on May 17, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
According to Dorff, despite being told that Stoltzfus was fighting Alhassan, that won't be the case. The most likely scenario is that Stoltzfus will play someone else on the same date, whereas Alhassan will continue to look for an opponent. Stoltzfus has emerged victorious in two of his last three trips to the Octagon and has even walked away with a post-fight bonus in each.

Looks to keep it rolling against Alhassan
Stoltzfus will take on Abdul Razak Alhassan in a middleweight matchup at UFC Vegas 106 on May 17, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Stoltzfus has emerged victorious in two of his last three trips to the Octagon and has even walked away with a post-fight bonus in each. Alhassan has seen worse fortune of late, coming away winless in his last three trips. Stoltzfus will have to mind the power of Alhassan, but he's a better defensive striker and offensive wrestler. He'll likely look to exploit Alhassan's sub-par takedown defense of 51 percent in order to rack up control time and keep his opponent's striking at bay.

Pulls upset in enemy territory
Stoltzfus defeated Marc-Andre Barriault via KO (punches) at 4:28 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Edmonton.
ANALYSIS
It was a dominant showing for Stoltzfus from start to finish in enemy territory. He spent most of the lone frame dominating Barriault on the mat. He nearly earned the submission win but couldn't quite close the show. Barriault was eventually able to work his way back to his feet, at which point Dustin unloaded a sweeping right hand which found the mark and closed the show in an instant. Stoltzfus is little more than roster depth, having alternated wins and losses in his past six bouts, but he's clearly capable of highlight reel performances once in a while. When that will actually happen is anyone's guess.
