Bonfim defeated Randy Brown via KO (knee) at 1:40 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Instead of leaning on his grappling, which appeared to be by far the cleanest path to victory, Bonfim went toe-to-toe with Brown on the feet and got the better of it. He and his team deserve credit for recognizing Brown's struggles with defending low kicks. Bonfim fired off a ton early on, and that left Randy compromised the rest of the way. Gabriel eventually fired a knee up the middle early in Round 2 which smashed Brown right in the face and sent him crumbling to the mat. Bonfim had a follow-up shot all ready to go, but referee Mark Smith never gave Brown the chance to continue. As for Bonfim, he's won four straight and six of seven with the UFC. He'll also take home a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his efforts here.

Taking on Randy Brown
WelterweightUFC
August 26, 2025
Bonfim will face Randy Brown in a welterweight bout at UFC Rio on Oct. 11, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Bonfim is off to a great start in his UFC career, boasting a 5-1 record. He's currently on a three-fight winning streak, most recently besting Stephen Thompson narrowly by split decision. He'll look to make it four straight against an opponent in Brown who is much more experienced in the promotion, with 20 fights under his belt and a 14-6 record.
Barely gets past Stephen Thompson

July 12, 2025
Bonfim defeated Stephen Thompson via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Nashville.
ANALYSIS
Bonfim certainly didn't look the part of a -425 favorite and was quite lucky two of the three judges felt he did enough to win. The Brazilian was the better man in Round 1, racking up two takedowns and some control time. He was less effective as the fight progressed, although neither man landed much volume on the feet. Thompson won Round 2 on all three scorecards and was responsible for the biggest blow of Round 3, a kick to Bonfim's face. Ultimately, Bonfim's five successful takedowns and some wall-and-stall late was enough to earn him the win. The 27-year-old Brazilian improves to 5-1 in his first six UFC bouts.
Scheduled against Wonderboy

Bonfim is scheduled to compete against Stephen Thompson in a welterweight fight at UFC Nashville on July 12, per Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
ANALYSIS
Defeating a former UFC Welterweight Championship challenger in Bonfim can get him some more recognition in the division. In February, he defeated Khaos Williams with a brabo choke. The win marked Bonfim's second straight since he was upset by Nicolas Dalby in 2023.
Finds another submission win
WelterweightUFC
February 15, 2025
Bonfim defeated Khaos Williams via technical submission (brabo choke) at 4:58 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Originally scheduled to face Rinat Fakhretdinov in this spot, Bonfim handled his opponent change masterfully. Knowing full well the power of Williams, the Brazilian fired off five takedown attempts, landing four of them. He was credited with just 1:42 worth of control time, but the constant threat of grappling assisted Bonfim throughout the fight. He finally found the submission with just two seconds left in Round 2, and it would go on to earn him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. The 27-year-old is now 4-1 in the UFC, with three of the four wins coming via submission. The lone defeat was a knockout against Nicolas Dalby back in November 2023.
Fighting Khaos in place of Rinat
WelterweightUFC
January 23, 2025
Bonfim is no longer fighting Rinat Fakhretdinov and will now fight Khaos Williams at UFC Vegas 102 on Feb. 15, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
With Fakhretdinov pulled from the fight for undisclosed reasons, Bonfim has found a new contender in Khaos Williams. Williams has not fought since May where he defeated Carlston Harris via KO in Round , whereas Bonfim is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Ange Loosa in July. Williams has a four-inch reach advantage over Bonfim, so it will be another difficult test for the Brazilian.
