Quickly dispatches Austen Lane
Tafa defeated Austen Lane via TKO (punches) at 1:22 of Round 1 at UFC 293 on Saturday in Sydney, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Tafa's cardio is poor, his footwork is non existent and he's a well below-average athlete in a traditional sense, but the finishing power in his hands is elite, as Lane found out here in his first UFC bout. Justin seemingly had nothing going early on before one massive left hand went crashing into Lane's jaw and sent into motion the sequence of events that ended the fight. Tafa simply doesn't possess the all-around game to defeat better competition, but he's done a nice job of late. The "Bad Man" has won three of his last four on the heels of losing three of his first four with the company. This latest win would also go on to earn him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus.

Eye poke leads to no contest
Tafa and Austen Lane fought to a no contest (accidental eye poke) at 0:29 of Round 1 at UFC on ABC 5 on Saturday in Jacksonville, Florida.
ANALYSIS
These two exchanged blows for about 30 seconds, at which point Tafa absorbed one of the most vicious eye pokes you will ever see. His eye immediately closed shut, and it was clear from the start he wouldn't be able to continue, although referee Dan Miragliotta wisely gave Tafa the full five minutes to see if things improved. They did not. Expect the UFC to try to re-book these two in the near future.

Facing Austen Lane
Tafa will take on Austen Lane at UFC Jacksonville on June 24, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Tafa was able to knockout Parker Porter in Round 1 of his last fight in February. Tafa isn't the best athlete, but he has clear knockout power and his 3-3 record in the UFC speaks to both of those things.

Immediately stops Parker Porter
Tafa defeated Parker Porter via KO (punch) at 1:06 of Round 1 at UFC 284 on Saturday in Perth, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Tafa has zero means of generating secondary offense and is a below-average athlete, but the power is very clearly legitimate, as Porter found out first-hand in this fight. The Aussie fired off a short left hand out of nowhere which cracked Porter on the jaw and finished him on the spot. Tafa's 3-3 record in the UFC is nothing to write home about, but everyone loves watching hard-hitting heavyweights, and Tafa brings at least one world-class skill to the table.
