It seems they are good to go a month down the line, as the UFC ultimately decided to pencil both Elliott and Ko against each other for Azerbaijan. Elliott's new opponent is a promotion newcomer.

Elliott was in firm control of this fight from start to finish. Of course, you wouldn't know that from the judging. He was down two rounds on one scorecard after the second frame and the other judge had it a round apiece. Thankfully, Oban took matters into his own hands after crushing Hafez with a right hand early in Round 3, which ended the bout in an instant and would go on to earn him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. Still just 26 years of age, "The Welsh Gangster" has now won each of his first three bouts with the UFC, in addition to having picked up a win on Dana White's Contender Series.
