Earns first UFC victory
Bannon defeated Alice Ardelean via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 30-27) at UFC 304 on Saturday in Manchester, England.
ANALYSIS
It was about the least technical bout you will ever see, but Bannon now has her first UFC victory under her belt. She took full advantage of Ardelean's struggles on the feet, landing a whopping 151 total strikes compared to just 80 from her opponent. Unfortunately, Bannon gave up a pair of takedowns and struggled on the mat. 30 years of age and with all of seven professional fights under her belt, Bannon's upside would appear quite limited despite the win here.

Gets new opponent for 304
Bannon will no longer take on Ravena Oliveira and now fight Alice Ardelean at UFC 304 on Jul. 27, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The Irish fighter will keep her spot in the UFC 304 card, but now she'll fight her second UFC matchup instead against Ardelean. Bannon will look to stay undefeated as a newer fighter, taking on Ardelean who will get her first ever UFC matchup in July.
