Long term deal with A.J. Foyt
IRL
November 13, 2024
Malukas has signed a multi-year deal with A.J. Foyt Racing starting in 2025 to drive the No. 41 Dallara-Chevrolet, Nathan Brown of the Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Malukas certainly had an interesting 2024 as he thought he was going to have a chance to battle for the championship in his first year with Arrow McLaren Racing, but that was over before it got started. Malukas suffered a mountain bike crash prior to the start of the 2024 season that resulted in a dislocated left wrist and torn ligaments that required surgery. McLaren would eventually release him as he was going to miss half the season. Malukas did make a strong return as he drove the No. 66 entry for Meyer Shank Racing in the second half of the year and finished top-10 on two occasions. The 23-year-old is a talented driver that gives A.J. Foyt Racing a nice driver lineup with Santino Ferrucci.
