The Alpine youngster would start dead last in this 20-car field and begin to look for ways forward immediately. The early retirement of Nico Hulkenberg would help and then Colapinto would find his way around both Esteban Ocon and Lance Stroll. He would pit out of P16 to conclude his second stint. Colapinto would hang onto that track position gained and earn more thanks to a better race strategy than Stroll and the late-race mishap for Isack Hadjar. He would earn a reasonable P14 after starting last in the field.
