Doohan crashed and finished 19th in the Australian Grand Prix F1 race at Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit on Sunday.

Doohan finished 15th in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Lusail Circuit on Sunday evening.

Alpine have confirmed that Doohan will make his F1 race debut earlier than expected in the season-closing Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with the squad releasing Esteban Ocon in a deal that allows the Frenchman to participate in the post-season test for new team Haas, Formula1.com reports.

Alpine have announced that current reserve driver Doohan will complete their line-up for the 2025 season - replacing Esteban Ocon as Pierre Gasly's team mate, Formula1.com reports.
