Jack Wood

McAnally-Hilgermann Racing
2025 Fantasy Outlook
He competed in 13 races with this team last season as the No. 91 Chevrolet was a timeshare ride. Wood gets this truck all to himself in 2025 as MHR has signed him full-time to the truck. His performance was shaky at times last year as Wood posted seven Top-20 finishes in those 13 starts for a subpar 20.8 average finish. Veteran crew chief, Kevin Bellicourt, will stay paired with Wood at this team. He has over 100 starts of experience in this division of NASCAR and three-career wins as crew chief. Wood will need to show some progress and more consistency as he transitions to a full-time driver for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing. Read Past Outlooks
Tops Homestead Truck Practice
Craftsman Truck Series
March 21, 2025
Wood was fastest in Happy Hour practice for the Baptist Health 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Friday afternoon. He turned a fast lap of 164.760 mph.
ANALYSIS
The driver of the No. 91 Chevrolet had a very strong practice. Wood topped the scoring pylon after this lone session by edging out Brandon Jones for the fastest lap of the 1.5-mile Florida oval. The journeyman driver is still seeking his first Top-10 finish of the season. It looks like Wood could scratch that column Friday night at Homestead.

2022
Wood competed part-time with Kyle Busch Motorsports in 2023 and earned two Top-10 finishes in a respectable showing. He moves on to MHR for the upcoming season and once again will be the part-time pilot of a Chevy truck. Wood's focus will be on his championship pursuit for this team in the ARCA Menards Series West. However, he'll also make a considerable 14 starts for the team in the Craftsman Truck Series. Kevin Bellicourt comes on board to serve as crew chief and will bring his 95 starts and three victories of truck series experience to the table. The two will look to form chemistry right away and make as big of impact as possible with the 14-race slate.
This truck was split between Busch, Corey Heim and a couple other drivers last season. As always, when Busch is behind the wheel this team is a threat to win and crack the Top 5. However, that was just five starts last season. All drivers combined, this team netted two victories and 15 Top-10 finishes. We expect a bit of a pullback in terms of performance this season. Wood will get most of the starts and he's a bit of a "project driver" at this point in his career. This is a team to keep an eye peeled for when Busch is on the entry list, but it could be an up-and-down affair the rest of the season.
The 21-year-old prospect has been brought in to take over the GMS Racing No. 24 entry full-time in 2022. This is the truck that Wood shared with a number of different drivers last season. The collective earned two Top-5 and four Top-10 finishes last season. Wood nabbed one of those Top 10's with a strong 10th-place finish at Gateway. Chad Walter returns at crew chief, and the two will look to continue building chemistry together. This team has a high ceiling in terms of capabilities, but they need Wood to learn and mature in order to realize their potential. 2022 could be a breakthrough season for Wood or just more learning the ropes if things don't get off to a good start.
