Simpson will return to Chip Ganassi Racing and drive the No. 8 Dallara-Honda full-time in the 2025 IndyCar Series season.

With the new charter agreement in IndyCar, Chip Ganassi Racing will go from five full-time entries to just three. Everyone knew Alex Palou and Scott Dixon were not going anywhere, but the mystery was who was going to keep that final chartered spot. CGR elected to go with the 20-year-old from the Cayman Islands. In his first year in IndyCar, Simpson recorded five top-15 finishes, but failed to crack the top-10 once. Give the success of his teammates, Simpson will need to do better in 2025 if he wants to continue long-term with a team like CGR.
