Verstappen claimed an impressive victory in the Las Vegas Grand Prix, with the Dutchman denying Lando Norris in a race that later saw both Norris and McLaren team mate Oscar Piastri disqualified from the results, Formula1.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Red Bull Racing star would see Lando Norris cut across his path at the lights out in an attempt to cut him off going into turn 1. However, Norris would run wide in the turn carrying too much speed in the corner. Verstappen would make the overtake and control P1 for the next 50 laps. Norris would have to battle to regain P2 at one point but couldn't catch back up to challenge for the win. It was Verstappen's sixth victory of the season as he would drive away to the 21-second win.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
After an overall dominant performance last season, Verstappen is expecting a repeat in 2023 after coming away with a Formula One record of 15 wins in a season and the undisputed title of World Champion. The RB18 proved to be no match for the rest of the grid as Verstappen repeatedly battled his way through the pack to finish first a whopping 65% of the time, earning 454 championship points by the conclusion of Abu Dhabi. The driver of the No. 1 Red Bull found no consistent competition with any of the other constructors and kept a firm grip on the championship standings following his only 2 DNFs of the season at Bahrain and Melbourne. Verstappen is truly the man to beat going into the 2023 season; drivers without a consistently reliable vehicle and discipline behind the wheel will find him an insurmountable opponent on track, unless Team Red Bull finds themselves facing a new, unforeseen challenge with the car this year.
