Just one day after his 17-year tenure at Team Penske officially came to an end, two-time IndyCar champion Power has already announced plans to race for Andretti Global in 2026. He will pilot the No. 26 Honda, replacing American driver Colton Herta, Motorsport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It wasn't long after Herta's announcement Wednesday morning that he would be moving to test driver for Team Cadillac in F1 that Power's announcement to Andretti was made. He leaves behind a significant tenure at Penske to start new at Andretti Global in 2026. The 44-year-old driver is fourth all-time in wins with 45 total and his 71-career poles lead all drivers. Power will be very competitive in the No. 26 Honda next season.
