The Barclays Premier League has an uncanny way of coming full circle. Individual players experience a wide range of emotions during the course of the nine-month season, from the joy of dominating while in top form to the uncertainty of a long injury layoff to the misery of being buried on the bench. Players who are considered weekly fantasy studs can find themselves being booed by home supporters and FPL owners alike after just a few poor performances. Especially this year, in what has been one of the most turbulent Premier League seasons in memory, players who were written off too soon have come back to make dramatic impacts, including all three of this week's risers. On the other side of the coin are a couple of players who seem to have hit the wall just after achieving "breakout status." Such is the nature of the most competitive league in the world.
RISING:
Danny Welbeck (FWD)
Welbeck started up front in Arsenal's last league match versus Everton after a solid run of form since returning from injury, and he responded with his fourth goal in just seven domestic appearances. The 25-year-old was one of the stars of the show as the Gunners outclassed the Toffees, and he appears to have a grasp on the starting job for the time being. Given his form and growing role in the team, Welbeck makes for an attractive fantasy option for this weekend's home match versus Watford.
Cesc Fabregas (MID)
Fabregas registered a brace during Chelsea's Mar. 19 match versus West Ham, giving him three goals and an assist in his last five league starts. The Spaniard continues to operate in different positions within the midfield, but with Diego Costa still suspended for this weekend's match versus Aston Villa, Fabregas should find himself with added offensive responsibility once again.
Graziano Pelle (FWD)
Pelle was forced to earn his way back into the side after a December injury that was followed by the emergence of Shane Long and the acquisition of Charlie Austin, but he has finally jumpstarted his season once again with three goals and a pair of assists in the last two matches. The Italian faces a tough road matchup versus Leicester City this weekend, but it would be foolish to ignore a man in this type of form, especially with a reduced price tag due to the aforementioned reasons.
FALLING:
Michail Antonio (MID)
Antonio has proven himself a capable attacking option by scoring six goals and adding a pair of assists in just 18 league appearances, but he appears to have fallen victim to the improved health of West Ham's squad. With Enner Valencia back in the lineup and Andy Carroll on the bench versus Chelsea, Antonio found himself slotted in at right back. Manager Slavan Bilic appears determined to find a way to keep Antonio in the starting XI, but his fantasy value stands to take a big hit if he continues to operate out of the back.
Ross Barkley (MID)
Barkley has looked downright unstoppable at times in what has been a career-year to this point, but his production has also come in bunches. On the heels of his latest scoring binge, he has now gone five league matches without factoring into a goal and has averaged just two shots and two crosses per game during that stretch. A tough road matchup versus the second-ranked Manchester United back line this weekend is hardly the ideal scenario for Barkley to generate some more momentum.
Divock Origi (FWD)
Origi started alongside Danniel Sturridge in the absence of Roberto Firmino last week and generated an assist versus Southampton, but he picked up a knock while on international duty with Belgium and his status is in question for this weekend's match versus Tottenham. Factor in the impending return of Firmino, who has had ample time to heal up, and the positive momentum Origi garnered versus the Saints could be halted before it really even gets going.
