Jurrien Timber News: Club managing workload
Timber had a reduced workload in training this week but will be fully available to face Leeds United on Saturday, manager Mikel Arteta told media during his pre-match press conference Friday. "On Jurrien, we have to manage his load. He's been out for a long time again and he comes from a long-term injury. We had a long week, we have to manage the load on that, so we have decided to take a little bit of training down, especially that day in the open session."
The reduced workload doesn't mean Timber is in any danger of missing Saturday's match. He played 20 minutes off the bench in the opener against Manchester City, and he might jump to the starting lineup Saturday against Leeds United if Ben White (undisclosed) isn't ready to start. Sounds as if Arsenal are simply being overly cautious with the Dutchman after he missed most of the 2024/25 campaign with a knee injury.
