Jurrien Timber
24-Year-Old
Arsenal
Premier
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Timber is a versatile defender who opened the season at left-back but finished as the top choice at right-back due to other injuries in the squad. He's not a major offensive threat with one goal and three assists in 30 appearances, though he does offer more from right-back where he produced all of those goal contributions playing behind Bukayo Saka. With a full season at right-back he has a path to a handful of goal contributions in addition to defensive upside, as Arsenal finished second in clean sheets in the Premier League last season. Timber's ability to play on either side of the back line should keep him in the XI as long as he remains fit, something worth following as he finished the 2024/25 campaign early to undergo ankle surgery.
Scores on set piece
Timber scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Wednesday's 3-1 win versus Bayern Munich.
ANALYSIS
Timber is not usually Arsenal's set piece target but the defender got his head on the corner for the team's first goal. Timber continues to make an impact on both sides of the pitch and will be pivotal on Sunday against a Chelsea side which has scored 23 goals and only given up 11 in 12 EPL matches.

Club managing workload
Timber had a reduced workload in training this week but will be fully available to face Leeds United on Saturday, manager Mikel Arteta told media during his pre-match press conference Friday. "On Jurrien, we have to manage his load. He's been out for a long time again and he comes from a long-term injury. We had a long week, we have to manage the load on that, so we have decided to take a little bit of training down, especially that day in the open session."
