Dowd has inked a
one-year contract with Chicago, having options for the three following seasons, according to his new club.
ANALYSISDowd will be joining the first team in Chicago after being drafted sixth overall by the club, inking his first professional contract on Monday. He recently finished out his college career with Notre Dame, where he notched 21 appearances in his last season with the team. He most likely will serve in a bench role behind
Chris Brady this season, but if he has his options picked up after this campaign, he may transition into a starter within the next few years.
