Gutierrez made another start as Tiago Volpi (shoulder) remains injured and couldn't do much when John Murillo used his backheel to deflect a shot into the net just before halftime. Other than that, the goalkeeper was very solid and made a spectacular save with his foot to prevent the opposition from doubling their lead during the closing stages of the match. Volpi's status for next Sunday's home clash versus Toluca is still uncertain so Gutierrez could very well receive another opportunity.
